.DISCUSSION...
A cooling trend will continue into the weekend and into next
week as a series of systems brings cooler air to the region
from the northwest. Stronger winds are anticipated along the
Sierra crest and in the Mojave Desert Friday and Saturday as
the first of these systems tracks into the Great Basin.
The second of these systems will move into central California
Monday through Thursday, with favorable chances for widespread
precipitation, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is
increasing potential for snowfall in the Sierra Nevada with
snow levels near 7000 feet.
