.DISCUSSION...
Clear and dry conditions expected over the next several days
as temperatures remain in the triple digits across the lower
elevations. The warming temperatures will keep relative
humidity low with widespread values 15 to 20 percent
expected into the weekend; desert values will continue to be
in the single digits. These prolong dry conditions are
favorable for fire development, however with subsiding air
aloft associated with an area of high pressure, valley winds
will generally be light. The strongest winds for the region
will be in typical wind-prone areas such as the Mojave Desert
Slopes, Lake Isabella, and Pacheco Pass, with the diurnal
cycle being the main driver.
