Updated AVIATION section.

&&

.KEY MESSAGES...

1. Temperatures expected to continue warming up through Tuesday.

2. Temperatures will see a cooling trend late next week ahead
of a disturbance moving into the area next weekend.

3. Locally breezy conditions expected across the Mojave Desert
from the middle of next week into next weekend.

&&

.DISCUSSION...An offshore upper ridge has shifted lightly
inland into CA today bringing a warming and drying trend to our
area. Skies are mainly clear across our area today except for
some cumulus build-ups in the Sierra Nevada and adjacent
foothills. The ridge is expected to remain flat for the next few
days as shortwaves drop into the PAC NW. However, temperatures
are going to continue trending upward each day through Tuesday
with the PoE of 85 DEG F in the San Joaquin Valley expected to
peak at 70 to 90 percent on Tuesday.

Medium range ensemble means are showing a dry trough pushing
through central CA on Wednesday and Thursday which will bring a
cooling trend to the area both days. The cooling trend will
then continue Friday and next weekend as a large upper low
approaches the PAC NW on Friday and moves inland across the PAC
NW on Saturday. Temperatures are expected to lower to near
normal across our area by Friday and to below normal levels by
Saturday. The deeper moisture and stronger dynamics from this
system are progged to remain to the north of our area with
precipitation chances confined to the Sierra Nevada from Fresno
County northward on Friday night and Saturday. However, gusty
winds will be possible across the mountains and deserts of Kern
County, most noticably along the Mojave Desert Slopes, from the
middle of next week into next weekend.
