Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A ridge of high pressure just north of the state will shift
south today, weakening local winds. Light to moderate easterly
trade winds will return Sunday into the coming week as high
pressure rebuilds north of the islands.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-

.REST OF TODAY...East southeast winds 10 to 20 knots. Seas 5 to
6 feet. Wave Detail: Northwest 5 feet at 13 seconds and east
4 feet at 7 seconds. Isolated showers.
.TONIGHT...Variable winds less than 10 knots around Kauai and
Oahu...southeast winds 10 to 15 knots elsewhere. Seas 4 to 6
feet. Wave Detail: East 4 feet at 7 seconds and northwest 4 feet
at 12 seconds. Hazy. Isolated showers.
.SATURDAY...East northeast winds 10 knots or less around Kauai
and Oahu...east 10 to 15 knots elsewhere. Seas 5 to 7 feet. Wave
Detail: Northwest 4 to 5 feet at 15 seconds, building to 5 to 7
feet in the afternoon and 9 to 10 feet overnight. East swell 4
feet at 7 seconds. Isolated showers.
.SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT...East northeast winds 10 to 20 knots.
Seas 8 to 10 feet. Isolated showers.
.MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...East southeast winds 5 to 15 knots,
becoming variable less than 10 knots Monday night, then northeast
10 to 15 knots on Tuesday. Seas 6 to 10 feet. Isolated showers.
