Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
High pressure far northeast of the area will hold into Monday
producing moderate easterly trade winds. A low will develop
northwest of the state during the first half of next week
shifting winds out of the south then holding through the remainder
of the week. The low will also bring an increase in probability
of thunderstorms across the western waters.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-


.REST OF TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY...East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas
4 to 6 feet. Wave Detail: East 4 feet at 7 seconds and north 3
feet at 10 to 11 seconds. Scattered showers.
.MONDAY NIGHT...East southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 4 to
5 feet. Scattered showers.
.TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT...South winds 10 knots or less around
Kauai and Oahu waters. Elsewhere, southeast winds 10 to 15 knots.
Seas 4 to 5 feet. Scattered showers with a slight chance of
thunderstorms over Kauai and Oahu waters.
.WEDNESDAY...South to Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6
feet. Scattered showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms.
.THURSDAY...South to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 5 to 6
feet. Scattered showers.
