Moderate to locally breezy trades are on tap for the latter part
of the week for Hawaii as moisture levels dry out compared to
midweek. Some passing showers over windward and mauka areas are
possible. An upper ridge will drift over the eastern islands and
eventually build to the west by this weekend, but by early next
week an upper trough axis could develop northwest of the islands.
Moisture looks to increase a bit around Sunday-Monday for possibly
increased shower coverage. At the surface, the pressure gradient
is forecast to weaken by around Monday-Tuesday, lessening trades
through at least part of next week.
