Initial upper ridging over the main islands should get displaced
by upper troughing just to the east of Hawaii around Thursday.
This may support higher moisture and some increase in
windward/mountain- focused showers. Regardless, a general easterly
trade wind pattern will maintain over the state for at least the
next week. Initial weaker wind speeds will increase to moderate or
breezy as surface high pressure builds to the north of Hawaii
later this week and weekend.
