...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN BRAZORIA AND EAST
CENTRAL MATAGORDA COUNTIES THROUGH 1100 AM CDT...

At 1016 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles south of Sweeny, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Brazoria, Sweeny, Lake Jackson, Sargent, Jones Creek, Wild Peach
Village, and Richwood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
