The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...
  Extreme Western Galveston Bay...

* Until 345 AM CDT.

* At 312 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located near San Luis Pass, or near Christmas Bay.
  The severe thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  San Luis Pass, Christmas Bay, and southern West Bay.
