600 PM CDT Thu Mar 13 2025

...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

* WHERE...Bolivar Peninsula, Brazoria Islands, Galveston Island, and
  Matagorda Islands Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dense fog has been observed in the coastal
  waters around Galveston island. This fog should continue to fill
  in across the remainder of the nearshore waters and bays this
  evening, spilling over into the barrier islands as the night
  progresses. Increasing winds after midnight may help break up sea
  fog, making it patchy and improving visibility in some spots.
  However, isolated banks of dense fog are most likely to linger
  through Friday morning in areas near High Island to Freeport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.
