...THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...
  Galveston Bay...
  Waters from High Island to Freeport TX from 20 to 60 NM...

At 816 PM CDT, a line of strong thunderstorms extends from 13 nm
west of Port Arthur to near High Island 116 to West Cameron 342,
moving west-southwest at 40 knots. The storms are weakening.
However, they may still be strong enough to produce 30 knot gusts
over our waters, with some potential for locally up to 40 knots.
Currently, most wind reports from the storms are indicating 25 to 30
knot gusts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
