...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Galveston Bay...

At 1129 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was
located over northern Galveston Bay, moving northeast at 5 knots.

The strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Southern Trinity Bay, western East Galveston Bay, northern
  Galveston Bay, Smith Point, Mitchell Bay, Scott Bay, Black Duck
  Bay, Upper San Jacinto Bay, and Tabbs Bay around 1135 AM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.

Intense lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.
