...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Matagorda Bay...

At 1111 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located
near Turtle Bay, or 7 nm northwest of Palacios Bay, moving southwest
at 20 knots. Automated weather stations in the vicinity of the storm
have been observing 20-30 knot gusts, and isolated stronger winds
are possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
