Clouds have returned across Southeast Texas, and will keep today`s temperatures from breaking much above 40 degrees, if at all. The air in place over the region remains fairly dry, but cool temperatures and the burn site`s proximity to East Bay will mitigate how far relative humidity values will fall. RH values look to bottom out in the lower half of the 50s this afternoon. Proximity to the bay will help with overnight RH recovery as well, but full recovery still should not be expected tonight, returning only to the 70s. Winds will remain northeasterly today, and remain moderate and occasionally gusty. Wind speeds appear strongest in the morning, up to 15 mph sustained, and only slowly come down closer to 10 mph by late in the day. Gusts of 15 to 20 mph can also be expected, which should match pretty closely to the expected transport winds through the day. Any plumes should be relatively contained, with mixing heights held down by the colder conditions. .REST OF TODAY...
