.DISCUSSION...
Moisture return from the Gulf is bringing both more humid
conditions to the area as well as gradually greater coverage of
afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Minimum afternoon RH values
after several days of are expected to exceed 50 percent through
Saturday night, even well inland. Isolated to scattered showers
and thunderstorms can also be expected today and Saturday ahead of
a front forecast to pass through the area Saturday night and
early Sunday morning. Despite the higher humidity and some
coverage of rainfall, fuels are expected remain quite dry. Soaking
rain will not be widespread enough to bring meaningful
improvement to fuel conditions over the area more broadly. After
the front passes, drier air and breezy northeasterly winds behind
the front will lead to moderate to high fire danger rating on
Sunday.
