.DISCUSSION...
Drier air fills into the region later today and tonight. Winds
this afternoon are around 10-20 mph with a few isolated gusts up
to 25 mph, though these should decrease to 7-12 on Friday.
Combined with dry fuels low afternoon humidity (35-50% this
afternoon and 20-40% Friday), elevated fire weather conditions are
anticipated. Though wind speeds should be below Red Flag Warning
criteria, the Texas A&M Forest Service is forecasting moderate to
very high fire danger for a good part of Southeast Texas. Use
caution with any outdoor burning and obey burn bans currently in
effect.
