Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Texas
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
1220 AM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025
.DISCUSSION...
With a tighter pressure gradient, look for northeast and east
winds to increase into the 10-15 mph range the next few days. Afternoon
minimum relative humidity values between 28 to 45 percent will be
the norm. Rain chances will be low...with just some isolated daytime
showers possible (mainly closer to the coast) today. Though Red Flag Warning
conditions will not be met, use caution with any outdoor burning...the
Texas A&M Forest Service is forecasting moderate to high fire danger
Wednesday and Thursday.
