...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
  counties, Austin, Fort Bend, Harris, Waller and Wharton.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 759 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the
    advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Sugar Land, Rosenberg, Stafford, Bellaire, West University
    Place, Katy, Richmond, Wharton, Brookshire, Hunters Creek
    Village, Bunker Hill Village, Piney Point Village, Pecan
    Grove, Mission Bend, Town West, Eldridge / West Oaks, Addicks
    Park Ten, Spring Branch West, Spring Branch North and Spring
    Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
