A long fetch of 20 to 30 knot south-southeast winds has set up across the western Gulf and are producing elevated seas. This will continue through at least Saturday morning and Small Craft Advisories are in effect. Chances for showers and storms will increase ahead of a strong cold front expected to push off the coast Saturday afternoon or evening. Strong northwesterly winds will develop behind the front and persist through Sunday morning causing the Small Craft Advisories to likely be extended.
