1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the
average highest 10 percent of the waves.

.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.

The tail end of an upper level disturbance will skirt across the
bays later this morning and early this afternoon and provide
chances for some scattered showers and thunderstorms. A cold front
will push into the coastal waters late in the day. Winds will
shift to the north 10 to 20 knots in its wake...but steadily
increase to 20 to 30 knots overnight. A Small Craft Advisory will
be needed for elevated winds and seas through at least Thursday,
and potentially into a portion of the day Friday. Unsettled
weather conditions will continue into the weekend with a warm
front Friday night followed by an even stronger front Saturday
night.
