.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.

Onshore flow has increased leading to the issuance of caution
flags for the bays and Gulf waters through Wednesday morning. In
the southern parts of the bays, some gusts near 25 kt will be
possible at times through the evening hours. Isolated rain
showers and a storm or two will be possible daily. Today, the best
potential for showers or a storm looks to be in the vicinity of
Matagorda Bay.

Hazy conditions will also settle in during the latter half of the
work week as a Saharan dust plume passes through the area. There
will be a moderate risk of rip currents along Gulf facing beaches,
rising to a high risk Friday evening into the weekend.
