447 FZUS54 KHGX 021843 CWFHGX Coastal Waters Forecast for Texas National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX 1243 PM CST Tue Dec 2 2025 Upper Texas coastal waters from High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60 nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves. GMZ300-030715- 1243 PM CST Tue Dec 2 2025 .Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. North winds continue to diminish as the day progresses, though it will take a while for seas to subside offshore. Winds will swing back around to the southeast tonight. Another coastal trough is forecast to take shape Wednesday night...bringing periods of rain and isolated storms through Thursday. Should there be any extended breaks in the rain, which appears fairly unlikely, some sea fog development is a possibility. As the trough passes to our east Thursday afternoon, winds will shift back to the north.
