.DISCUSSION...
The current north-northeast swell continues to impact exposed
shorelines as reinforcement energy keeps surf elevated. The current
small to moderate, medium to long period northwest swell will slowly
fade today too. Surf along east facing shores may dip below High
Surf Advisory conditions tonight but likely be reissued Thursday as
a reinforcing northeast swell is expected similar in magnitude and
direction.
A few moderate long period northwest swells are expected over the
forecast period keeping surf at or near the High surf Advisory
criteria for north and west facing shores. The first is expected
to fill in Thursday afternoon and peak on Friday near High Surf
Advisory criteria before gradually declining Friday. Another
swell from the northwest swell similar in size and direction is
expected to fill in Saturday evening, peak early Sunday morning
and gradually decline through the weekend. Another, moderate long
period northwest swell is expected again to build in Sunday
night, peak Monday before gradually declining through the middle
of next week.
Surf along south facing shores will remain tiny to small through
the forecast period with mainly background energy.

the forecast will occur periodically, sometimes up to a few hours
apart. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near the surf zone,
with rip current strength increasing with surf size. Swimmers are
urged to exercise caution at all times and enter the water near a
lifeguard.
