The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Big Island Southeast Waters...
  Big Island Windward Waters...

* Until 715 PM HST.

* At 516 PM HST, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Hawaiian
  Paradise Park to 43 nm southeast of Cape Kumukahi, moving northwest
  at 20 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts in excess of 65 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural
           damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  FAD Buoy HK, FAD Buoy E, FAD Buoy D, FAD Buoy G, and Hilo Harbor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding
downpours. Stay low or go below, and make sure all on board are
wearing life jackets.
