Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240
nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height
of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than
twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...
A strong low pressure system passing N of the area will bring
strong to gale force S to SW winds, low visibility in heavy rain,
as well as strong to severe thunderstorms through Friday. The
threat for thunderstorms and severe winds will decrease over NW
waters overnight, but persist elsewhere. Much improved weather is
anticipated by the weekend as high pressure builds far NW of the
islands.
