Offshore Waters Forecast for Hawaii

Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240
nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height
of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than
twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...
A weak trough will remain N of the area through today, then
gradually shift W on Monday. As of the 07/2100 UTC, Hurricane
Kiko is centered near 18.1N 145.5W and moving west-northwest at
11 knots. Hurricane Kiko is expected to begin impacting the
eastern offshore waters on Monday and will be centered roughly
180 nm NNE of Hilo on September 9th at 8am HST as a Tropical Storm.
Kiko will then continue to move west-northwest across the northern
offshore waters, exiting the offshore waters late Wednesday night.
