Offshore Waters Forecast for Hawaii

Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240
nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height
of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than
twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...
A weak front will enter the NW waters this afternoon, then move SE
into the Hawaiian islands late Sunday and dissipate by Tuesday.
A weak area of high pressure will build in W of the waters behind
the front and slowly shift E through the middle of next week.

front, N to NW winds 10 to 15 kt. S of 18N, E winds 10 to 15 kt.
Elsewhere, variable winds 10 kt or less. Seas 5 to 10 ft.
.SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY...Front moving into the central waters.
NW waters, N to NE winds 5 to 15 kt. S of 18N, NE to E winds 10 to
15 kt. Elsewhere, variable winds 10 kt or less. Seas 5 to 9 ft.
.TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...Front dissipated. N of 22N, variable
winds 10 kt or less. S of 18N, NE to E winds 10 to 20 kt.
