Offshore Waters Forecast for Hawaii

Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240
nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height
of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than
twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...
Surface high pressure will remain far N of the waters through the
forecast period. At 1100 PM, Hurricane Lowell was centered at
16.5N 163.2W and moving NNE at 9 kts. Hurricane conditions are
expected for the W offshore waters tonight into Tuesday. Post-
Tropical Cyclone Karina will remain NE of the offshore waters and
dissipate on Monday.
