.DISCUSSION...

A ridge of high pressure north of the islands of Laysan and
Lisianski will produce a moderate east breeze through early next
week. Winds may diminish somewhat for Friday and Saturday as a
very broad trough weakens the ridge in the vicinity of the
islands. The most prominent swell will be a 2 foot, medium-period
swell generated by former Super Typhoon Bavi that fades through
this weekend. Also expect small (less than 2 foot) background
southerly swells through the forecast period. Shower activity will
remain isolated to scattered.
