...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Kauai and Niihau.

* WHEN...Through Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of
  streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along
  with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff.
  Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - As the center of Hurricane Lowell passes west of the islands,
    deep moisture associated with its inner rainbands will spread
    across Kauai and Niihau where significant rainfall has already
    fallen. These additional periods of heavy rain can quickly lead
    to additional flash flooding.
  - Kauai and Niihau.
