PHZ100-062215- 1153 PM HST Sat Sep 5 2026 .Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters... A surface high will remain far north of the Hawaiian Islands into next week. As of 1100 PM, Hurricane Lowell was centered around 530 nm south-southwest of Kauai and moving northwest at 6 knots. Lowell will turn more northward over the next 24 hours, which will cause winds across the coastal waters to gradually veer out of the southeast to south with the strongest winds across the western end of the state Monday into Tuesday.
