SOUTHWESTERN OXFORD...SOUTHWESTERN CUMBERLAND AND EAST CENTRAL CARROLL COUNTIES THROUGH 245 PM EDT... At 204 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Hiram, or 10 miles southeast of Conway, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Sebago, Baldwin, Eaton, Freedom, Brownfield, Frye Island, Cornish, Hiram, Porter, Limington, Standish, Windham, Gray, Buxton, Gorham, Raymond, Denmark, Naples, Parsonsfield, and Limerick. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. If on or near Sebago Lake, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm.
