...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Casco Bay...
Coastal Waters from Cape Elizabeth, ME to Merrimack River, MA out 25
NM...
Coastal Waters from Port Clyde, ME to Cape Elizabeth, ME out 25 NM...

At 301 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Freeport to near Old Orchard Beach, moving east
at 30 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots and large hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high
         winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in suddenly
         higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Old Orchard Beach, Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Freeport, Harpswell,
Boothbay, and Chebeague Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with these storms.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
