039 FNUS71 KGYX 121902 FWSGYX Spot Forecast for Snow Mountain...NECC Dispatch National Weather Service Gray ME 302 PM EDT Sat Jul 12 2025 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1500 EDT on July 12. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. Please contact our office at (207) 688-3224, if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. Broken to overcast skies today as SE flow continues to spill over the higher terrain. Where clearing has occurred this morning and afternoon, the environment will be unstable. This will lead to isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms through early evening. Storms will have the tendency to develop near topographic features, remaining nearly stationary for an hour or so before meandering away in weak steering flow. Rainfall rates under these showers and storms may be heavy, with 1 to 2 inches per hour possible. Gusty winds may also accompany any stronger storms that develop, but stronger wind gust probability is low. Loss of instability overnight will reduce winds and coverage of showers and storms, with mostly dry conditions expected tonight and Sunday morning. Stratus and fog is expected to settle across the area, with good moisture recovery at elevation. Outside of rainfall from storms today, the next chance at wetting rain will be Monday afternoon. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Partly sunny (55-65 percent).
