.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will continue dry conditions today with steady
southerly winds. Winds will be more uniform today, 10 to 15 mph,
with gusts to 25 mph across coastal and interior ME. While mixing
height decreases overnight, a steady wind is expected to
continue.
Gust factor and frequency will be reduced. Increased low level
winds arrive overnight, with elevations 1500/2000` and above
possibly gusting to 35 mph overnight.
A slow moving cold front will approach from the west Sunday with
increasing south winds ahead of the front. Gusts around 30 mph
will be possible across much of southern ME, and up to 25 mph in
southern NH. With slowing of the front, much of the region
appears to remain dry during the wind window Sunday. Advancing
from the west, the best chance for daytime showers will be over
the western mountains. Wetting rainfall is then expected Sunday
night through Monday.
