.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions continue today with full sun expected. Deeper
mixing today will help to lower RH values to 30 to 40 percent
over most of the interior on a NNE wind gusting 15-20 mph at
times. These gusts are most likely along the coast and interior,
not as strong towards the mountains and foothills. Also expect a
sea breeze to push inland beginning early afternoon bringing a SE
wind shift.
It remains dry Saturday, but southerly winds bring a little more
moisture into the region with not as low RH values. Tightening
pressure gradient will bring the chance for greater gusts into
Sunday. Gusts up to 35 mph will be possible across much of
southern ME, with gusts to 30 mph for much of NH.
Incoming cold front Sunday has trended slower, thus much of the
region appears to remain dry during the wind window Sunday.
Advancing from the west, best chance for daytime showers will be
over the western mountains. Widespread wetting rainfall is then
expected Sunday night through Monday.
