High pressure builds in from the north. High pressure will hold over
New England through Saturday while Hurricane Erin passes well south
of the coastal waters. Long period swell from Erin will build,
peaking late Friday into this weekend. The gradient from Erin and
high pressure to the north will bring increasing northeast flow
Thursday and Friday. Winds shifts out of the south late in the
weekend ahead of an approaching cold front.
