A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

  Rota Coastal Waters...

At 1022 AM ChST, Doppler radar and satellite imagery indicated
strong thunderstorms producing frequent intense lightning. These
thunderstorms were located over the eastern waters and moving
westward.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 25 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
