.DISCUSSION...An active weather pattern will continue over the
northern CNMI into early next week. Tropical Storm 06W is seen to
the north-northwest of Maug, and is moving west-northwest. 06W will
maintain a moist southerly flow across the area and is expected to
shift a broad area of showers across the northern CNMI over the next
several hours. Scattered showers, isolated thunderstorms and
occasional gusty winds are expected through this afternoon, with
numerous locally heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms expected
for Ahyi Seamount tonight. Winds across the area are moderate to
fresh south-southwest on Saturday. Fresh to near-gale gusts will
remain possible near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

.TODAY (AHYI SEAMOUNT AND SUPPLY REEF)...

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (60-70 percent). Scattered
                    showers becoming numerous during the afternoon.
Isolated thunderstorms.
Surface winds (kts).Southeast to south winds 15 to 20 knots. Gusts
to 30 knots near heavier showers and
thunderstorms.
Wave heights........5 to 7 feet.

.TONIGHT (AHYI SEAMOUNT AND SUPPLY REEF)...

Sky/weather.........Cloudy (80-90 percent). Numerous showers and
isolated thunderstorms.
Surface winds (kts).South winds 15 to 20 knots. Gusts to 30 knots
near heavier showers and thunderstorms.
Wave heights........5 to 7 feet.

.SUNDAY (MAUG ISLANDS)...

Sky/weather.........Cloudy (80-100 percent). Scattered showers
                    and isolated thunderstorms.
Surface winds (kts).Southeast to south winds 15 to 20 knots. Gusts
to 25 knots near heavier showers and
thunderstorms.
Wave heights........6 to 8 feet.
