...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM CHST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Guam.

* WHEN...Until 645 PM ChST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become
  impassable. River or stream flows are elevated. Rises in small
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 354 PM ChST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
    urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.4 and 1 inch of
    rain has fallen during the past hour. Additional rainfall of
    1 to 2 inches are possible through 6:45 PM.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.6 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Dededo, Tamuning, Yigo, Mangilao, Chalan Pago-Ordot,
    Barrigada, Yona, Hagatna Heights, Andersen AFB, Talofofo,
    Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Sinajana, Inarajan, Asan, Merizo, Piti,
    Santa Rita and Umatac.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
