...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...All reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A Tsunami Advisory remains in effect for Guam
  and the CNMI after a significant earthquake occurred near Kamchatka
  this morning. Tsunami waves are already being detected moving
  through the Marianas this afternoon. These fast-moving waves may
  continue to move through Marianas coastal waters for several hours.
  Even after the initial set of tsunami waves, oscillating water
  levels are likely to generate stronger than usual rip currents
  along all shorelines of the Marianas through tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents will be life threatening. If caught in a rip
current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If
able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to
escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
