The various swells and wind waves generated by formerly Tropical
Storm (now Typhoon) Fung-wong (32W) have diminished enough to no
longer produce hazardous surf along south facing reefs, and a high
risk of rip currents along east facing reefs across the Marianas.
Surf is expected to continue increasing along west facing reefs as
westerly swell from now distant Fung-wong is expected to make its way
to the region, but surf is expected to remain below hazardous levels
at this time.
