...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT NOON EST TODAY...

The threat has ended across the mountains away from the Tennessee
border and across the foothills and the western Piedmont to the
north and west of Interstate 85.  Some light snow may linger for
another hour over the Piedmont east and south of I-85, but should
move east and taper off by 1 pm. Sun is expected to come out this
afternoon and should quickly melt away most of the snow, except for
places that remain in the shade.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches,
  mainly in the higher elevations. Locally higher amounts in the
  high elevations along the Tennessee border. Winds gusting as high
  as 45 mph.

* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered
  roadways. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday
  evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
