...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations mainly of 2 to 3
  inches in lower elevations, and 4 to 6 inches on ridgetops, with a
  few isolated ridgetop locations seeing up to 8 inches. Winds
  gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Avery, Madison, Mitchell, and Yancey Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The snow will create snow covered roads and produce
  scattered power outages. The hazardous conditions could impact the
  Friday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

  ridgetops generally above 5000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45
  mph.

* WHERE...Haywood and Swain Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The heavy snow will create snow covered roads and
  produce scattered power outages. The hazardous conditions could
  impact the Friday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down
  tree branches.
