  South central Cabarrus County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 1015 PM EDT.

* At 946 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles southeast
  of Downtown Concord, or near Midland, moving east at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Midland and Mt Pleasant.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

building.

Brief damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines over small
