The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Graham County in western North Carolina...

* Until 530 PM EDT.

* At 459 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Robbinsville,
  moving west at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Robbinsville, Town Of Santeetlah, Lake Santeetlah, and Cheoah.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Brief damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines over small
areas. A brief period of large hail is also possible. Seek shelter
inside an interior room.

If on or near Lake Santeetlah, get away from the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now!  Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
