  Southwestern Cleveland County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  Northeastern Spartanburg County in Upstate South Carolina...
  Northwestern Cherokee County in Upstate South Carolina...

* Until 715 PM EDT.

* At 614 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles southwest
  of Forest City, or 6 miles northeast of Lake Bowen, moving east at
  20 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Draytonville, Cowpens National Battlefield, Thicketty, Lake Bowen,
  Chesnee, Gaffney, Cowpens, Harris, Fingerville, and Mayo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
