...INCREASED FIRE DANGER THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...

The combination of wind gusts in the 25 to 35 mph range, relative
humidity values in the 20 to 30 percent, and dry fuel moisture
levels will lead to increased fire danger for today. These
conditions will develop over the North Carolina foothills and
Piedmont and much of the mountains. Conditions should improve by
this evening as winds begin to taper off and relative humidity
values recover.

Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn today. If you do burn, use extreme caution since
fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
