...A HEAVY RAIN SHOWER WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CABARRUS...
SOUTHEASTERN IREDELL AND SOUTHWESTERN ROWAN COUNTIES UNTIL 115 PM
EDT...
At 1210 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a heavy rain shower 8
miles northwest of Kannapolis, or 5 miles north of Enochville. This
shower was nearly stationary, drifting southward only very slowly.
Locations to be impacted include...
Kannapolis, China Grove, Landis, and Enochville.
Very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in
these areas.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall may flood areas with poor drainage, such as
ditches and underpasses. Avoid these areas and do not cross flooded
roads. Water levels of small streams may also rise rapidly. Seek
higher ground if threatened by flood waters.
