...A THUNDERSTORM WITH TORRENTIAL RAINFALL WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN
GREENWOOD COUNTY UNTIL 915 PM EST...

At 850 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with
torrential rainfall 12 miles east of Greenwood, or near Lake
Greenwood State Park, moving east at 25 mph.

Locations to be impacted include...
Ninety Six, Lake Greenwood State Park, Greenwood State Park, Ninety
Six Historic Site, Lake Greenwood, Dyson, Epworth, and Kirksey.

Very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in
these areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall may flood areas with poor drainage, such as
ditches and underpasses. Avoid these areas and do not cross flooded
roads. Water levels of small streams may also rise rapidly. Seek
higher ground if threatened by flood waters.
